According to reliable club insider @ExWHUemployee on Episode 86 of The West Ham Way radio show, Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery and Thomas Tuchel are both on the east London outfit’s managerial shortlist this summer should David Moyes leave, and Irons fans have been quick to react to the rumour.
The Scot’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season and while it seemed as though the deal could be extended at one stage, discontent from the London Stadium faithful, who mocked him on Twitter following the latest report on his future, over below-par performances and results mean he could go.
The Hammers hierarchy are obviously already looking at potential candidates to come in, with Emery already announced as leaving PSG at the end of the campaign, and Tuchel still unemployed having been sacked by Borussia Dortmund just under a year ago.
West Ham supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the story, and while one said “as if either of those two would want to work with clowns running our club”, another simply labelled it as “laughable”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
the board using the same tricks as before Bilic to win over fans when we were linked with Klopp, Bielsa and Emery

FFS here we go again. Didn’t this happen before we appointed Bilic, after we got turned down by every other manager in the world!

if they were serious about getting a good manager, then they would do it before the season ends. so he has more time to figure out what he needs in the transfer window. we will keep moyes, they wont back him and they'll make you think its because moyes isnt permanent

i would take thomas tuchel all day over moyes, may take him a while to settle into the premier league but his philosophy of football and management is something to read up on #coyi

Don't think Tuchel would take it but Emery might. He'd be good! Proven winner, good age and used to handling big names at previous clubs. Make him an offer he can't refuse and let's start looking upwards before Moyes strangles the football out of us!

They can be on the list all they want as if either of those will want to come to us. Laughable.
