The former Manchester United boss suffered his first defeat in his second spell at the club at Bramall Lane, as Robert Snodgrass’ late equaliser was ruled out due to a supposed handball from Declan Rice in the build-up.

Moyes spoke to the club’s official channels after the game and claimed that his players were “terrific” throughout the encounter, while also insisting that his side did not deserve to lose the game.

Per WhoScored, the Hammers had seven shots on goal throughout the game, with just two on target.

And a number of supporters were left genuinely concerned with his post-match assessment.

At the same time, a number of other fans focused on Moyes' mindset when making these comments.

While this is only the first defeat that they have suffered under his management, supporters have previously endured the 2017/18 season with him in the hotseat; they finished 13th that term.
