According to The Sun, West Ham United will make a move to sign Manchester United veteran Antonio Valencia in the summer if Pablo Zabaleta quits the London Stadium, and Irons fans have been quick to react.

As per the aforementioned report, Zabaleta is apparently undecided as to whether or not he will retire at the end of this season. The Hammers apparently want the 34-year-old Argentine to stay, but Manuel Pellegrini has seemingly already identified Valencia as an ideal replacement should the right-back decide to call it a day.

The South American has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford in recent seasons. The Red Devils’ club captain has only made five league appearances so far this season, as per Transfermarkt’s stats.

The 33-year-old is certainly coming towards the end of his career, and is no longer at the height of his powers. He would bring some experience and leadership to the London Stadium though.
