West Ham fans react to Dimitri Payet strike

Marseille attacker Dimitri Payet continued his impressive start to the 2018-19 campaign with a goal in his team’s 4-0 win over Guingamp on Sunday night.

Payet has now scored three times and registered two assists in five Ligue 1 appearances this term.

And the West Ham United fans have been on social media reacting to the Frenchman’s excellent strike.

Payet scored 15 times and registered 23 assists in 60 appearances for West Ham between 2015 and 2017.

It did not take long for Payet to become a firm favourite with the West Ham supporters, and he scored 12 times during a very impressive first season at the club.

Things ultimately turned sour, however, and Payet left West Ham in January 2017 to seal a return to Marseille.

The 31-year-old has since scored 33 times and registered 58 assists in 152 appearances for Marseille, and there is no question that he is a fine talent.
