According to insider, ExWHUemployee, West Ham could consider a move for Liverpool’s Divock Origi if they sell – one presumes – one of their other striking options.
The Belgian has made just two Premier League appearances for the Reds this season and has recorded either a goal or an assist in each but, despite the departure of Dominic Solanke, is unlikely to see his game-time increase by much due to the indispensability of Jurgen Klopp’s other forward options.
The Hammers, meanwhile, have the uncertainty of Marko Arnautovic’s future in claret and blue hanging over them and, should they move for Origi, could well be preparing for life without the influential Austrian.
Whether Manuel Pellegrini and co swoop for the 23-year-old Origi or not may be contingent on whether Arnautovic is looking likely to head out the door – the 6-foot-4, 29-year-old striker may not be able to pass up what would potentially be his last opportunity to sign a bumper deal and take another step up, if the likes of Manchester United come calling.
Meanwhile, West Ham fans were torn over the prospect of signing Origi, as they discussed the rumours on Twitter…
He’s shocking… would rather have Gabriel and send Lucas on loan. Be interesting to see what Pellegrini thinks re Carroll though

Origi would be a great signing, him and Arnie would be magic together

Not sure who he’d replace in the team. He’s unproven and at fifteen million could prove to be another Savio.
