West Ham United forward Lucas Perez has taken to social media to firmly deny that he refused to warm up during his team's Premier League clash with Everton.

Perez was an unused substitute during West Ham's 3-1 win over the Toffees at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

It had been claimed that the summer arrival from Arsenal had refused to warm up when called upon in the second period of the match.

However, Perez, via a statement, has insisted that was simply not the case.

The 30-year-old has found it difficult to make his mark at the London Stadium since his arrival from Arsenal, and it would be fair to say that he did not look too pleased sitting on the bench at Goodison Park.

The allegations against him have been firmly denied though.
