Manuel Pellegrini has said that Manuel Lanzini, who has been out of action since last summer, will hopefully be fit to play when West Ham take on Fulham in two weeks’ time.
The midfielder sustained a nasty knee injury in June which was expected to keep him out for 15 months, meaning that he would miss the entire 2018/19 season. However, the Argentine could at least make the bench for the clash with the Cottagers as his recovery accelerates dramatically.
With Jack Wilshere joining the diminutive attacking midfielder on the sidelines, Pellegrini was left light of options for the number 10 role, hence the signing of Samir Nasri in January.

Lanzini’s surprisingly imminent return, though, means that the Hammers boss has a plethora of options to choose from, even with Wilshere and Andriy Yarmolenko still out of action.
Pellegrini’s £100m outlay upon his arrival saw a complete overhaul of the Irons’ approach, but we have yet to see the full potential as injury setbacks decimate the squad.
Felipe Anderson has been the star man – playing the full 90 minutes in his last nine Premier League appearances – and will surely relish the opportunity to play alongside Lanzini, who has been West Ham’s playmaker in chief since Dimitri Payet’s departure.
Here’s how the London Stadium faithful reacted to the update…
do not rush him back. please.

So trying to keep my feet on the ground and ease Manu back in slowly but still hoping he scores a hat trick against Fulham. One thing for sure he is a world class player on his day . Coyi

I can’t walt for a Nasri,Anderson, Lanzini combination. Makes you realise just how well West Ham have done relative to the prolonged injury list.
