West Ham United captain Mark Noble is a doubt for Saturday's Premier League clash with Arsenal after picking up a back problem.

Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini - speaking at his pre-match press conference on Thursday - did ruled Noble out of the match, but it seems that the midfielder is a big doubt due to a back injury.

Noble has been under the microscope in the early stages of the campaign, with the 31-year-old struggling against Liverpool and Bournemouth.

A number of West Ham fans have called for the club skipper to be dropped, and now they have been reacting to the injury news surrounding Noble.

Some of the club's supporters have claimed that Noble is not actually injured, with Pellegrini just looking to cover up the fact that the midfielder has been dropped.

Meanwhile, others have seen the news on the 5ft 11in ace as a blessing in disguise.

It is a big game for West Ham this weekend as they look to bounce back from defeats to Liverpool and Bournemouth in the early weeks of the new season.
