West Ham fans react to report of agreement in principle with Manuel Pellegrini

According to Spanish media outlet Marca, West Ham United have an agreement in principle to appoint former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager this summer, and Irons fans have been quick to react.

Marca says that the east London outfit have followed up their previous interest and reached an agreement with the 6ft tall Hebei Fortune chief, although the 64-year-old would be willing to break it if the Sevilla job was offered to him.

The report suggests that the Hammers board have run out of patience with David Moyes – the London Stadium faithful on Twitter certainly have – and they are already searching for his successor with the Scot’s contract ending following their final day Premier League fixture against Everton on Sunday.

West Ham supporters have taken to social media to give their thoughts on the possible Pellegrini appointment, and while one said “Hernandez would stay”, another said “if true, I’m excited for next season”.

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
