West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that Andy Carroll is on the verge of returning to action following an ankle problem.
Indeed, Carroll could play in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Brentford this week ahead of a potential return to the first team.
The centre-forward is yet to feature for the Hammers this term, and will be hoping that he can stay fit following a number of injury problems.
Carroll will see his current deal at the London Stadium expire at the end of this season, however, and it has been suggested that the former Newcastle United striker is considering leaving the Premier League for the MLS.
It is said by C&H that a move to North America is very much on the agenda, and the West Ham fans have been offering their views on the surprise transfer report.
Carroll has scored 33 times in his 128 games for West Ham, but has just not managed to stay fit for an extended period.
