According to West Ham United insider ExWHUemployee, James Collins is nearing a move to the Championship, with Ipswich Town and Aston Villa both in the hunt.
Collins left West Ham on a free transfer at the end of last season, but the 35-year-old never had any plans to hang up his boots.
He was actually linked with a return to the Hammers last month, but the move did not occur, and Collins is now seemingly on the verge of dropping down to the second tier.
It would be fair to say that the 6ft 2in Welshman is still a popular figure with the West Ham fans, having made over 200 appearances during his two separate spells at the London club.
The West Ham supporters have been discussing his next move on social media, and a number have wished him well ahead of a switch to either Ipswich or Villa.
There are also some fans who feel that their club should have offered Collins a contract due to his experience and knowledge of top-flight football.

Amazing that Pellegrini doesn’t value him, if Diop gets injured we are in big trouble
