Porto forward Moussa Marega is trying to force a move to West Ham United, according to Record Portugal.
Indeed, the publication has claimed that the striker has refused to attend training with Porto, and has also made himself unavailable for the final of the Portuguese Super Cup on Saturday night.
Marega scored 22 times for Porto last season as they won the Portuguese title, but has since been linked with a move to the Premier League.
Southampton have also been credited with an interest, although it is understood that Marega wants to make the move to West Ham ahead of the new campaign.
The 27-year-old would cap what has been a remarkable summer of spending from West Ham, although it remains to be seen whether the Hammers can complete a deal.
Marega is valued at £17.1m by Transfermarkt, but various reports have claimed that Porto value the centre-forward in the region of £30m.
Some West Ham fans are getting very excited about the potential deal, although there are those doubting whether the finances add up.
A selection of the Twitter reaction from the club’s supporters can be seen below:
Why would you wanna pay £30M for a player that would not go in the first team?

People getting excited about Marega apparently wanting to join us and going on strike to do so…yes I would like him, but remember Porto want £30m for him and we don’t have nowhere near that in our budget left over. #WHUFC #COYI

Porto’s manager is doing a press conference right now and he has been asked about Marega a couple of times and he did not answer those questions.

That’d be a good signing. Technically he’s not amazing but he’s an absolute unit with insane pace. He’d terrify PL defenders
