According to West Ham United insider ExWHUemployee, Xande Silva is set to spend the next six weeks on the sidelines due to a hamstring problem.
Silva joined West Ham from Vitoria Guimaraes during the summer transfer window, and has made a big impression for the club’s Under-23 outfit this season.
Indeed, the 21-year-old netted a hat-trick on his Premier League 2 debut against Tottenham Hotspur Under-23s, and is believed to be in the plans of first-team boss Manuel Pellegrini.
Silva was not involved against Chelsea Under-23s at the weekend, and it had been thought that the forward could play for the first team against Macclesfield Town in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.
However, according to ExWHUemployee, Silva has a hamstring injury, and the 5ft 9in ace will miss the next six weeks of the campaign as he recovers.
