Javier Hernandez has contributed six goals and three assists in 24 appearances for West Ham United during the 2018-19 campaign.

The 5ft 9in forward's numbers are not exactly disastrous, but they aren't too great either.

The 30-year-old has been involved in seven of West Ham's last eight Premier League games, but has managed just one goal during that time.

It would be fair to say that he struggled to make his mark last weekend as Manuel Pellegrini's side suffered a 2-0 defeat at Cardiff City in the Premier League.

Hernandez has been handed a call-up to the latest Mexico squad, though, and that is not really a surprise when considering that he is their record goalscorer with 50.

The West Ham fans have not been very pleased with the striker's performances in recent weeks, however, and have not exactly been shy in making their feelings known after receiving an international call-up.
