West Ham United secured the loan signing of Joao Mario from Inter Milan in the latter stages of the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old is due to spend the remainder of the season on loan with the Hammers, and he has already made four appearances for the club since his arrival at the London Stadium.

As it stands, Mario, who is valued at £23.4m by transfermarkt.co.uk, will return to Inter in the summer, although it has been suggested that West Ham could look to sign the Portugal international on a permanent deal.

There is no question that the midfielder has a lot of quality, but the West Ham fans are still trying to work out whether he has been a success since arriving in England.

It is perhaps too early to discuss Mario's performances in the Premier League, although there are some West Ham supporters that have seen enough to suggest he would be a brilliant signing.
