West Ham fans suggest Jordan Hugill should return

Jordan Hugill scored his first two Championship goals for Middlesbrough as Tony Pulis’ team recorded a 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic at the weekend.

Hugill joined Boro on loan from West Ham United during the summer, and it would be fair to say that the striker has struggled to make his mark at the Riverside Stadium.

Hugill netted a brace against Wigan on Saturday afternoon, however, and the West Ham fans have been on social media reacting to the news.

Hugill joined West Ham from Preston North End in the final stages of the 2018 January transfer window.

The move was a surprise, and the 26-year-old only played 22 minutes of Premier League football for the Hammers in the second half of the 2017-18 campaign.

It was not a shock when he left West Ham ahead of the new campaign, but some of the club’s fans have said that they would take him back at this stage.

Indeed, only Marko Arnautovic and Felipe Anderson have been reliable for West Ham this season in terms of goals, and Hugill could play a part for the Hammers in the second half of this season, according to their fans.
