West Ham fans think they will regret dumping Antonio

West Ham fans are starting to wonder if it’s a mistake to sell Michail Antonio this summer, despite reports claiming they could recoup up to £30m for the winger.

It’s starting to feel like a matter of “when” rather than “if” Antonio leaves West Ham this summer, but could it be a huge mistake from Manuel Pellegrini?

According to the Mirror, Antonio is “set to leave” the London Stadium, and Crystal Palace are the front-runners to land the powerful winger.

The report claims the 28 year-old has been told he has no future with the Hammers, after suffering with injuries last season.

Popular Hammers insider ExWHUEmployee has added to the reports, saying the club will demand around £30m for any potential deal.

Antonio scored just three times in the league last season, and started just 16 games for the Hammers.

The Englishman is strong, fast and versatile, but Pellegrini is clearly seeking more quality in the final third as he looks to implement his new style in East London.

With Manuel Lanzini set to miss most or all of the season with a knee injury, fans are starting to wonder if they might regret dumping Antonio though, especially to fellow Londoners Crystal Palace.
