West Ham fans urge club to keep Hernandez

David Moyes’ reluctance to select Javier Hernandez from the start has led to suggestions that the forward could leave West Ham United in this summer’s transfer window.

There was a lot of excitement amongst the club’s supporters when Hernandez arrived at the London Stadium from Bayer Leverkusen in last summer’s transfer window.

And the Mexico international, who is valued at £16.2m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has scored eight Premier League goals during the 2017-18 campaign, which is far from a disastrous record.

It was the 29-year-old’s super strike that earned West Ham a point at Chelsea last weekend, and Hernandez has proven over his career that he is capable of scoring goals.

Speculation linking the forward with a move away from West Ham is refusing to go away, however, and it would be fair to say that the club’s supporters are desperate for the former Manchester United attacker to remain in London.
