According to The Mirror, West Ham United are preparing a move for Fiorentina midfielder Carlos Sanchez ahead of the closing of this summer’s transfer window.
The Hammers have already been incredibly active this summer, but it is expected to be a busy end to the window for the London club.
Head coach Manuel Pellegrini still wants a defensive midfielder, and according to The Mirror, Sanchez could well arrive ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Sanchez played in the Premier League for Aston Villa between 2014 and 2016, before leaving to join Fiorentina, and he has made 52 appearances for the Italian club in all competitions.

The 6ft midfielder ended last season on loan at Espanyol, however, and it is understood that he could be available in the final days of this summer’s transfer window.
The West Ham fans have been reacting to the transfer report on social media, and it would be fair to say that a number are not interested in the 88-time Colombia international moving to the club ahead of this weekend’s clash with Liverpool.

Nigel Reo-Coker one-year deal > Carlos Sanchez. He’s also available on a free, so why the hell not?
