Andy Carroll has only made 12 Premier League appearances for West Ham United this season due to injury.
Indeed, the striker missed the early weeks of the campaign with a groin problem, and has been absent in recent weeks due to an ankle injury.
Had the Englishman been fit throughout the month of January then there is a chance that he could have made the move to Premier League champions Chelsea.
As it transpired, Carroll stayed at the London Stadium. The forward, however, will see his current deal with the Hammers expire at the end of next season.
The 29-year-old, who is valued at £9m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has only scored twice for the club this term, and there remain question marks over his ability to stay fit for an extended period of time.
It does seem that the West Ham fans are losing patience with the powerful centre-forward, with many insisting that he should be sold once the 2017-18 campaign has concluded.

When we attack in games, they are so much better when Carroll isn't playing. He's got to go in the Summer

Impact sub at best

Yeah. I supported him for a while describing him as an “impact sub”. Now I’m bored of it all now. Thanks, but time for him to go somewhere new.
