West Ham United have already been extremely busy in this summer’s transfer window, with eight new players arriving ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
It is understood that the Hammers are not finished, however, with head coach Manuel Pellegrini still wanting to bring a new defensive midfielder to the London Stadium.
Pedro Obiang is believed to be on the verge of leaving the club, whilst Cheikhou Kouyate has made the move to Crystal Palace.
The West Ham fans have been discussing potential arrivals on social media, and Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a name that has been mentioned on a number of occasions.
Loftus-Cheek, who spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, played his part for England at the 2018 World Cup.
It remains to be seen whether new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri wants Loftus-Cheek for the new campaign, and the West Ham fans have urged their club to test the water with a bid for the 6ft 3in ace.
A selection of the Twitter reaction from the West Ham supporters can be seen below:
Loftus-cheek, Drinkwater or Sturaro. Any would do…

I’d go loftus cheek but be very surprised if Chelsea let him go out again.

As it seems we keeping Obiang I’d go for Loftus-cheek a proper box to box midfielder powerfully and got a point to prove 💪👊

Loftus Cheek, Delph or Bakayoko would be my ideal choice

Loftus-Cheek please, definitely don’t want Bakayoko, so we’ll get Drinkwater
