Possessing a low centre of gravity and thunderous left foot, Shaqiri has impressed for Stoke this season - managing seven goals in 30 Premier League appearances for a team that are currently battling to stay in the top flight of English football.

It seems certain that the former Bayern Munich attacker, who is valued at £16.2m by transfermarkt.co.uk, will be leaving Stoke in this summer's transfer window regardless of whether they manage to stay up or not.

West Ham took controversial figure Marko Arnautovic from Stoke ahead of this season, and the club's supporters have now urged head coach David Moyes to move for Shaqiri, who has also been linked with a move to Southampton.
