West Ham fans want Zabaleta to sign contract extension

Pablo Zabaleta joined West Ham United on a free transfer from Manchester City in the summer of 2017, and the right-back has made 51 appearances for the Hammers.

The Argentine is no spring chicken at the age of 33, but his performances for the club this season have once again been impressive.

Zabaleta is widely expected to leave the London Stadium at the end of the season though, with his contract due to expire.

The West Ham fans, however, are desperate for one more year from the 5ft 9in defender.

Zabaleta started the 2018-19 campaign out of the team, but has been an ever-present in recent months, and impressed in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Newcastle United.

When considering value for money and quality of performance, Zabaleta has been some signing for the London club.

And the West Ham supporters have been on social media urging the former City right-back to sign for one more year at the London Stadium.
