According to The Mirror, West Ham United have slapped a £60m asking price on the head of Marko Arnautovic in a bid to fight off interest from Manchester United.

Man United boss Jose Mourinho worked with Arnautovic at Inter Milan, and it has been reported over the last few weeks that the Portuguese wants a reunion at Old Trafford.

Arnautovic joined West Ham from Stoke City in last summer's transfer window, and the 70-time Austria international ended the 2017-18 campaign with 11 goals in 35 appearances.

West Ham are desperate to keep hold of the 29-year-old, but according to The Mirror, the capital outfit would consider a bid of £60m.

The West Ham fans have been reacting to the latest developments on social media, and it seems that the bulk would not sell Arnautovic even if a £60m bid arrived.

That does seem an incredible amount of money for a player who is unproven on a consistent basis at the highest level, but the West Ham supporters are absolutely desperate for the attacker to remain in the English capital entering the new season.
