West Ham line up audacious transfer bid for in-form England star

According to reports from London Evening Standard, West Ham are considering an audacious transfer bid for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

Amid an incredible campaign at the King Power Stadium, the 29-year-old’s goals have fired the Foxes to the Premier League title, netting 24 times to rise to second in the division’s scoring charts.

The Midlands outfit are intent on holding onto their key players this season including the England international, who is a shoo-in for Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2016 squad.

But Hammers co-chairman David Sullivan revealed earlier this week that the East Londoners have launched a transfer bid for a player in Ligue 1 and will follow it up with another offer for a player in England – which London Evening Standard speculate will be the Leicester City assassin.

The Irons are set for a summer of ambitious recruitment, believing their move to the Olympic Stadium will attract a higher calibre of player in the transfer market.
