According to talkSPORT, West Ham are considering a move for AS Roma striker Seydou Doumbia.
Doumbia had a brief spell playing in Italy with Roma, where he failed to make much of an impact, before being loaned back to his former club CSKA Moscow.
The Ivory Coast international has already registered eight goals this term, but West Ham fans may well be concerned by his poor period in Italy and if he could make the cut for Premier League football.
Doumbia moved to AS Roma from CSKA last January for £11million and would offer West Ham with a great deal of pace and an eye for goal.
West Ham have started the season well and an addition of Doumbia’s quality could be exactly what is needed to help Diafra Sakho in the push for European football.
Doumbia’s loan would need to be cut short if the deal were to go through this January, unless West Ham are willing to wait until the summer to get their man.
