West Ham are prepared to listen to loan offers for striker Mauro Zarate as they look to free up funds for new recruits in the January transfer window.
The 27 year-old is in high demand among a number of Premier League clubs, with fierce rivals Sunderland and Newcastle believed to be especially interested.
Although the Argentinian made a superb start to his Hammers career, bagging a goal in their away win at Crystal Palace in their second game of the season, he has since found it hard to hold down a regular berth in the first team, and has scored just one more goal.
Irons boss Sam Allardyce is looking to offload Zarate to bring down the overall wage bill at the club, which would allow him to make moves for possible recruits in January.
West Ham are currently enjoying a very successful season and lie in 5th place in the Premier League with 31 points going into their game against London rivals Arsenal on Sunday.
