West Ham plot stunning move to beat Man United to key Southampton star

West Ham are confident they can beat Manchester United to the signature of Southampton’s Sadio Mane at the end of the season, according to reports from the Brentwood Gazzette.

The Senegalese forward has been a big hit since his 2014 move to the Saints and has attracted serious attention from the Red Devils over the course of the past few months.

However, reports claim that West Ham are also keen on the pacey attacker ahead of what looks likely to be a huge summer in the east of London, and are confident they can win the race for his signature.

It’s understood that the Irons are ready to push on with serious transfer business at the end of the season ahead of their move to the Olympic Stadium, which the club hope will allow them to move up a level and compete with some of the Premier League’s biggest sides on a regular basis.

The outcome of the race for fourth place may have a huge bearing on Mane’s potential next club, with West Ham in direct competition with Man United, as well as Liverpool, Spurs and Leicester, for one of the Champions League qualification slots.
