West Ham plotting move for ‘five goal in nine games’ strike star

West Ham are readying a fresh January move for Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz after failing with a bid for his signature during the summer, according to reports from Takvim.

The 30-year-old Turkey international has been one of the Istanbul giants’ key players for some time and has impressed so far this term with five goals in nine Super Lig outings.

This form is understood to have maintained the Hammers’ interest after they attempted to snap him up in a £3.5m deal during the last window.

Reports claim that Slaven Bilic, who has a good knowledge of Turkish football after working at Besiktas before moving to east London, is eager to push through a move for Yilmaz.

The marksman himself may see a potential move as his last chance to play in a major European league after spending his entire career to date in his homeland.
