West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is plotting an audacious move for AC Milan star Keisuke Honda ahead of the January transfer window, according to the Brentwood Gazette.
The Japanese mega star has found himself limited in the number of first-team appearances he makes at the San Siro, and is thought to be frustrated in his bit-part role.
Now, Hammers chief Bilic is believed to be monitoring his situation at the San Siro with a January move mooted as a potential goer.
The 29-year old playmaker is set to become available for transfer when the Italian giants land former Portsmouth midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng next month.
The Schalke man is believed to be nearing completion in his return to Milan after previously playing there between 2010 and 2013.
Bilic has found his forward line depleted in recent weeks as star man Dimitri Payet was ruled out for around 12 weeks and forward Diafra Sakho also facing a spell out.
