West Ham United are considering a shock summer move for Leicester City superstar Jamie Vardy, according to reports from the Mirror.
Vardy has been heavily linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium after an incredible season, in which he scored 24 league goals to propel the Foxes to a surprise Premier League title.
His performances over the course of the campaign have seen the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, and even Real Madrid become interested in his services, but now West Ham have joined the race for the England international.
The Hammers are extremely keen on bringing in a world class centre forward this summer, with Liverpool ace Christian Benteke and Marseille’s Michy Batshuayi high on their wish list.
However, it is believed that Vardy has a buy-out clause of £20million in his contract, a relatively cheap price when compared to the potential fees needed for Benteke and Batshuayi.
But it is unlikely that Vardy will depart Leicester this summer, with the Foxes ready to compete in next year’s Champions League as English champions.
