West Ham pondering surprise move for Man United outcast

West Ham are considering a shock move for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Mexico international is currently out on loan at Real Madrid after enduring a difficult couple of seasons at Old Trafford.

Despite making a big impact following his switch from Chivas Guadalajara, ‘Chicharito’ slipped down the pecking order under both Fergie and David Moyes, and was finally granted permission to leave the Theatre of Dreams by Louis van Gaal.

His first-team woes have, however, continued in Madrid, with the likes of Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo having limited his playing time.

This has alerted West Ham, who are reportedly pondering a move for the penalty box predator.

Hernandez has just 18 months remaining on his United contract, and it’s likely that LVG will be keen to cash in rather than risk losing his man for free.
