West Ham United announced on Monday that Spanish goalkeeper Roberto has joined La Liga side Alaves on loan for the rest of the 2019/20 campaign.
The 33-year-old joined the Hammers a free transfer over the summer and has made 10 appearances for the English club during the current season.
The experienced stopper has conceded 17 times in his eight Premier League appearances, though, and was criticised by the West Ham fans for a string of errors.
Not too many of the supporters have changed their mind on the Spaniard by the looks of things as a lot were pleased to learn that he had exited the club.
Good luck, Alavés*

… and breathe. I’d rather stick an outfield player in and play rush goalie than see him on the pitch again. How we managed to find anywhere to offload him I’ll never know, let’s just be thankful that we did.

One fan went a few steps further and claimed that Roberto was the worst player to ever turn out for the club, which is quite a statement to make.
The worst player ever to play for West Ham in the history of the football club and the catalyst for our relegation in May.

Another supporter, meanwhile, said that the stopper would now turn his form around having left the London Stadium to return to Spain.
You wait. He’ll have a blinder for them…

David Moyes’ side played out a 1-1 draw with Everton in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The capital side will look to return to winning ways when they travel to Leicester City on Wednesday night, but the Foxes are likely to be fired up having lost their last two in the league to Southampton and Burnley.
