According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United are in negotiations with Juventus to sign Stefano Sturaro, but the Hammers should drop their interest in the midfielder to sign Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan ahead of the new Premier League season.
West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has brought nine new faces to the London Stadium this summer, and it is understood that the Chilean is far from finished.
A number of players have been linked with moves to the Hammers, and according to the Daily Mail, Sturaro is keen on a switch ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
The 25-year-old has been with Juventus since 2014, and has won four Serie A titles and four Coppa Italia crowns during his time in Turin.
The Italian has really struggled for regular football, however, and it is not a surprise that Juventus are so keen to sell in this summer’s transfer window.
There is no question that Sturaro is a talent, but West Ham should drop their interest in the four-time Italy international to pursue a loan deal for Chelsea midfielder Loftus-Cheek.
Well, it appears likely that Loftus-Cheek will be allowed to leave Chelsea on loan once again, and Crystal Palace are desperate to re-sign the 22-year-old.

Loftus-Cheek scored twice in 24 Premier League appearances whilst on loan at Palace last term, and has been heavily linked with a return to Selhurst Park.
West Ham, however, should be doing all they can to bring him to the London Stadium.
Loftus-Cheek impressed for England at the 2018 World Cup, and his performances at Palace last season showed that he is more than ready for regular Premier League football.
West Ham have already signed Jack Wilshere this summer, and Loftus-Cheek could be the perfect player to operate alongside the former Arsenal ace in the middle of the park.
Indeed, the pair would certainly complement each other’s style, and the arrival of the 6ft 3in powerhouse from Chelsea would be another huge coup for West Ham.
