According to The Sun, Chelsea are ready to sell Victor Moses in the January transfer window and will demand just a £12 million fee.

Crystal Palace and Fulham are both apparently interested in sealing a deal for the 27-year-old.

What’s the word?

Since joining the Blues in 2012, Moses spent stints on loan with Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United before becoming a key member of the first team at Stamford Bridge under Antonio Conte.

During the Italian’s reign, Moses was a regular starter throughout the two seasons in which Chelsea landed a Premier League title and then beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

Since Conte’s exit, though, Moses has become a peripheral figure in west London, barely featuring for the new boss, Maurizio Sarri.

At this stage in his career, Moses needs to be playing regular football, which he is unlikely to get at Stamford Bridge. Before he winds up elsewhere, though, West Ham should enter the race for the 37-cap Nigeria international’s signature.

A great deal for all involved

Moses spent the 2015/16 campaign on loan with the Hammers, and his versatility would prove useful at the London Stadium once again. With Pablo Zabaleta ageing, and summer signing Ryan Fredericks struggling to adapt to life in the top flight, Moses could compete for regular game time on the right flank of the Irons’ defence.

What’s more, he would also challenge the positions of Robert Snodgrass and Michail Antonio in more advanced areas of the pitch.

Bringing depth, versatility and experience to the West Ham squad, Moses would quickly find himself becoming a true asset to manager Manuel Pellegrini, whilst also getting his own career back on track in the process, making this a deal that would suit all involved.
