West Ham target former Man United boss for next season

The Sunday Mirror are reporting that Real Sociedad manager David Moyes – sacked last season by Manchester United – is poised to become the next West Ham boss ready for the new season.

Moyes is reportedly interested in a return to Premier League management despite having only started work at Sociedad six months ago, and the Spanish club are happy for him to leave.

While the 52 year-old Scot has been quick to insist that he is enjoying his time in La Liga, he is not regarded as a long-term option at Sociedad.

This has apparently convinced Moyes that a return to the English top flight is the best thing for him, and the West Ham owners believe him to be an ideal fit to lead the club into a new era at the Olympic Stadium should they decide to part ways with current Hammers boss Sam Allardyce.

Prior to his disastrous stint at Manchester United, Moyes enjoyed ten successful years at Everton, taking them to the Champions League and an FA Cup final.
