West Ham are one of English football’s great sides. The east Londoners have always mixed passion and quality, producing some great players and truly excellent moments through their long history.
2016/17 marks a new chapter for this storied side, with the Irons moving to the London Stadium, leaving behind their Boleyn Ground home. Although they have a Europa League clash with NK Domzale on Thursday, their official curtain raiser at the venue built for the Olympic Games in 2012 is due to take place this Sunday against none other than Juventus.
And to mark the special occasion, the Londoners will be wearing unique strip modelled on the all-blue kit worn by Thames Ironworks in the 1890s – the side that are now known as West Ham.
The Juventus game in the Betway Cup will be played in memory of the great Arnold Hills, who formed the team, to celebrate the past, the present and the future of the club.
Do you want to see the kit? Of course you do, so watch the below video for a glimpse…
