West Ham United fans change opinion of Moyes following win over Chelsea

When David Moyes was appointed as West Ham United manager, not many fans were enthused.

The Scotsman arrived at the London Stadium on the back of failed spells at Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland.

Not many felt that he could inspire the Hammers, and the assumptions seemed to be proved right as the club recorded three defeats and a draw following Moyes’s appointment.

At the weekend, though, the manager got his tactics right as the team caused a big upset by defeating reigning Premier League champions Chelsea 1-0 on home turf.

Marko Arnautovic scored in the sixth minute and West Ham were able to keep the Blues at bay for the remaining 84.

The result did not drag the East London club out of the relegation zone as they sit in the bottom three due to goal difference, but the win puts the team in the right direction.

Judging from the reaction on Twitter, Moyes has won over a lot more supporters.
