Manuel Pellegrini was one of the busiest Premier League managers in the transfer window as he recruited nine new players for West Ham United.

The Chilean coach, who replaced David Moyes as coach at the end of last season, bolstered pretty much every area of the pitch.

Pellegrini brought in Jack Wilshere and defence-minded Carlos Sanchez for the midfield, but some West Ham fans have been left concerned by the performance against Liverpool on Sunday.

Wilshere started centrally at Anfield, with Mark Noble and Declan Rice sat just behind.

Felipe Anderson and Michail Antonio were position on the wing, with Marko Arnautovic leading the line.

Against Liverpool, the Hammers barely had any time on the ball and they failed to cause a threat in the 4-0 loss.

On Reddit, some West Ham fans have suggested that there is a problem with the club's midfield, despite the fact that the club have played just one competitive match so far this season.

Others are refusing to point fingers just yet, which sparked a debate about the quality that Pellegrini has at his disposal.
