Last season, plenty of West Ham United fans were desperate for youngster Toni Martinez to be handed a chance in the first team.
The 21-year-old forward moved to the East London outfit from Valencia in 2016, but is yet to make his mark at senior level.
Since signing for the Hammers, Martinez has had loan spells at Oxford United, Real Valladolid and now this season he will spend the campaign at Spanish Segunda Division side Rayo Majadahonda.

The team he has joined a relatively unknown as they only recently achieved promotion to Spain’s second tier.
The decision to offload Martinez to Majadahonda has raised some eyebrows, particularly as the forward will not be playing in a heavily-competitive division.
The youngster has only made four first-team appearances for West Ham, and Manuel Pellegrini’s summer acquisitions have made it that much harder for Martinez to find a breakthrough.
On Twitter, a large number of West Ham fans have been left disappointed by the club’s decision to let him go, albeit temporarily.
Great another pointless loan.

Don’t complain if he doesn’t extend his contract at the end of season and scores next season with an rival team. Stop to loan him and give it a chance !

Why the hell sign a player who isn’t going to be getting in the first team. This is ridiculous we are short on strikers as it is and the man knows how to score. Poor decision.
