West Ham United fans react to club’s rejection of £14m Ayew bid

Andre Ayew has struggled to earn a regular place in West Ham United’s team this season.

The attack-minded player has started just nine Premier League games and has come off the bench in a further nine.

In that time the 28-year-old has scored three goals and created two assists.

Since David Moyes took over from Slaven Bilic in November, Ayew has played in 11 games in all competitions, but has played just a full 90 minutes three times.

According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, Ayew’s former club Swansea City have been sniffing around.

The reporter claims that the Welsh outfit, who sold the Ghana international to West Ham for £20.5m in 2016, have had a £14m bid turned down.

In a separate piece by The Telegraph, it was claimed that the East London outfit are reluctant to sell Ayew due to Andy Carroll’s recent injury blow.

The Hammers are reportedly concerned about being left short of attacking options for the second half of the season.

Fans have tweeted their views on the Ayew situation.
