Some West Ham United fans have had a difficult relationship with Mark Noble over the last few seasons.

The club captain caused an uproar in the 2016-17 campaign when he claimed in an interview with Sky Sports that fans calling for him to be dropped do not understand the game.

Before Slaven Bilic was sacked last week, Noble played in seven of the team's 11 Premier League fixtures.

Now that David Moyes is manager, the midfielder will be hoping to impress the new boss and hold down a spot in the first team.

Ahead of Saturday's Premier League game against Watford at Vicarage Road, Noble talked about the team's new leader.

The 30-year-old told the club's official website that the players are determined to give Moyes his first win.

Some fans, though, have questioned Noble's remarks.

As it stands, the Hammers sit in the relegation zone, one point from safety after winning just one league match so far.
