West Ham United fans think Moyes is their saviour following thumping win

There would not have been many West Ham United fans excited by the arrival of David Moyes when he was announced as the club’s new manager in November.

The Scotsman’s managerial record since leaving Everton in 2013 has been poor.

The 54-year-old failed to last longer than a year at Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland.

Pressure was on his shoulders heading to West Ham given that the club were lingering around the relegation spots under former manager Slaven Bilic.

It took some time for Moyes to get the team back on track and there is still work to do, but since the turn of December, the club have won four, drawn three and lost just once in the Premier League.

Today, the Hammers moved five points adrift of the relegation zone and into 11th with a thumping 4-1 win over Huddersfield on away soil.

Mark Noble and Marko Arnautovic were among the scorers, while Manuel Lanzini netted twice.

After the match, fans were quick to hail Moyes, and in particular his team selection.
