At last West Ham have some good injury news, and it’s good attacking news too.
Thoroughly goalshy over the past few weeks, West Ham have been starved for attacking flair since they lost Victor Moses and Dimitri Payet. Today, however, Andy Carroll came back into the side, coming on as a substitute to score the winning goal in a 2-1 win over Southampton.
Not only was this a notable game because it marked the first time since October where West Ham had actually won a game, it was also the comeback of Andy Carroll… with braided hair!
His new haircut threatened to overshadow the game, even. Instead of paying attention to the match, everyone was talking about Carroll’s hair, and when he scored the winner, it was his hair that took the spotlight again!
I’m not saying his hair is bad – I could never make such a fashion judgement – but I can say that it’s unorthodox. But if it helps him to get fit and score winning goals for West Ham, who cares, eh?
