Reports from The Daily Mail suggest Aston Villa are currently the front-runners to sign Brentford striker Scott Hogan, but any deal will come at a trade-off of selling Ashley Westwood to Burnley in a £5million transfer.

The midfielder moved to Villa Park from Crewe in summer 2012 and has gone on to make over 150 appearances for the Birmingham outfit, although he's managed only 18 starts in the Championship so far this season.

Nonetheless, the 26-year-old is a talented player, famed for his technical strengths and tipped for an England call-up by some a few years ago, back when Paul Lambert was getting a decent tune out of the Villans.

As our infographic shows, however, Westwood's statistics from his first season in the Championship aren't exactly outstanding, losing the majority of his duels in the middle of the park and creating just eleven chances - although he ranks much better in terms of interceptions and tackles.

Accordingly, whether Steve Bruce should be selling Westwood remains a top of curious debate. So how do the Villa fans feel about this potential deadline day deal?
