Anyone else still trying to work out how Arsenal didn’t make all their possession and dominance pay during yesterday’s clash with Manchester United? A real smash-and-grab from Louis van Gaal’s side at the Emirates but they won’t mind.
The main talking point that came from the 90 minutes in the Premier League’s late kick-off surrounded Arsenal’s feisty midfielder Jack Wilshere and Manchester United’s afro-sporting Marouane Fellaini.
After what seemed like a rather innocuous coming together of the pair on the edge of United’s penalty area, Arsenal’s Englishman took offence to the referee blowing for a foul and then the Three Lions midfielder decided he’d had enough of United’s towering former Toffee.
I think we all agree that Arsenal were lucky not to see their man sent off – if Jack was a foot taller, he most probably would’ve been heading for an early bath.
Naturally, like all talking points in football, the scenario has been given the ‘Wealdstone Raider’ treatment.
