A petition by Arsenal fans has reached over 50,000 signatures this week, as supporters attempted to petition that Mike Dean never officiates a game involving the club again.
Dean, who took charge of the dramatic derby against Chelsea last weekend, was flooded with complaints over his poor handling of the incident between Diego Costa and Gabriel Paulista.
Arsenal fans believe Diego Costa should have received instant action for his violent conduct. Today, Costa and Paulista been fined by the Premier League for their misconduct.
The Premier League are yet to comment on the petition, although it is likely that no matter the volume of fans that sign it, it is unlikely to be considered, given that Mike Dean remains one of the top officials in the game.
Elsewhere, Lionel Messi has missed yet another penalty for Barcelona. The 28-year-old Argentinian hit the poor effort against Levante, proving that he is human after all.
