Explosive Traore is PL-ready and would add another dimension to Wolves’ attack

Newly-promoted Wolves are willing to pay Adama Traore’s release clause all in one go and match his demands to add him to their frightening attack, according to the Sun.

What’s the latest, then?

The Sun report that Traore has an £18m release clause at the Riverside Stadium and that Nuno Santo has decided to match it to add yet more pace and firepower to his mouth-watering Molineux options.

They also claim that the terms the wideman is demanding represent no issues for the Old Gold, who will add him to a frontline including Helder Costa, Leo Bonatini and Diogo Jota among others ahead of their return to the big time.

The report also says that the deal could spark a chain of transfers as Tony Pulis’ promotion-chasing Boro look to seal a replacement ahead of an assault on the Championship without their star man.

Traore is definitely worth £18m

Traore’s end product arrived so much after the arrival of Pulis – with the duo creating the unlikeliest of successful partnerships – that he has elevated himself to the status of difference-maker.

His pace is absurd, allowing him to romp around multiple defenders at a time or cause chaos on the counter attack.

Wolves already have a rapid frontline but nobody who can beat a man with so much ease and swing in crosses for fun.

Santo’s men will be forced to play on the counter more in the top flight and Traore is also absolutely ideal for that approach as well.
