It has recently been reported by O Jogo that Wolves are considering smashing their club-record transfer fee to make on-loan Mexican forward Raul Jimenez's loan move a permanent one. The rumoured fee is said to be around the £33m mark, which seems extortionate for a player who is approaching his 28th birthday.

Despite that, the man on loan from Benfica has been a key figure in Nuno's frontline and has arguably been the glue that has held the attack together. Jimenez has just four goals this season, one more than his teammate Matt Doherty, who plays at right-back.

However, it is his assists tally that makes for better reading and shows just how important he is to the side. Jimenez has four assists to his name, where his hold-up play, eye for a pass and aerial prowess are a godsend for last season's Championship winners.

The only question mark is over the fact that the Mexico international may be getting on a bit. Would it be a wise investment by the newly-promoted side? Have your say down below...
