On Sunday it was confirmed that Danny Welbeck would be leaving Arsenal on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season.

With that in mind, Wolves supporters have been debating the player on social media, determining whether he'd make a good signing for the club.

The verdict, however, was one of disdain with a host of supporters not entertained by the idea of him arriving at Molineux.

Reaction from the vast majority of supporters saw them slam the forward's injury record, as one individual joked that Wolves would be paying £100,000 a week for him to sit on an exercise bike.

A further fan also made reference to his wages, claiming they'd be too high for someone who isn't always fit.

Another tweet saw a supporter suggest that anyone who thought Welbeck would be a good signing has no understanding of football. It was quite the attack on the 28-year-old who is valued at £13.5m, per Transfermarkt.

The good news, though, for anyone who does decide to make a move for the England international in the summer, will be that he won't cost a penny.

Raul Jimenez is turning it on for Wolves and Mexico right now! He definitely deserves the song in the video below...

Welbeck has been out injured since early November when he suffered a horrific broken ankle against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League.

Here's what Wolves fans have been saying about him.
